With Polizeiorchester Niedersachsen
On 4. November 2012 the Polizeiorchester Niedersachsen gave a charity concert for the Hannover Sportbund at the NDR/Großer Sendesaal in Hannover. The programme, which included music from Jacques Offenbachs Orpheus in der Unterwelt, Alfred Reeds Armenische Tänze, Yosuke Fukudas Belly Dance, Astor Piazollas Oblivion and Queens Sombody to love, took the audience on a trip "Around the World". This gave Chris Day a chance to change from his usual brass position to the good old rock guitar. Conductor Thomas Boger. Moderation Andreas Läpke. With Lucerne Symphony Orchestra
On 24./25. Oktober 2012 Chris Day was playing substitute 2nd Trombone for two concerts with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra in the world famous KKL concert hall. This was the opening symphony concert of the season for Lucerne, and both concerts were played to full house. The programme featured Mozart, Adagio and Fugue in C Minor KV 546, Bartok Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No.1 and Bruckner Symphony No.2 in C Minor. Sweden Trip with Hannover Trombone Class
From 11- 15th September Chris Day spent a lovely time in Gavle, Sweden, performing at the 2012 Signal Festival for Brass. During this week he performed concerts with Hannover Trombone Class conducted by Professor Jonas Bylund and played Euphonium with the Brass Section from the Gavle Symphony Orchestra conducted by Christian Lindberg. Throughout the week was played music from Handel, Bourgeois, Lully, Lindberg, Svoboda, Gabrieli and some of Chris Days own arrangements.
Bolero for solo trombone and electronics
On 15th July 2012, Chris Day premiered his own arrangement of Ravel's 'Bolero' for solo trombone and electronics at the Klassik-Festival in Laatzen, Germany. Instead of the proposed open-air concert at the EXPO "Park der Sinne" the promoter had to change the venue to a nearby concert hall as the entire park was waterlogged. On the same program Chris Day also played 'Rondo alla turca' in a new arrangement together with Lithuanian Pianist Gintaras Janusevicius. Video to follow.
Quattrombones performed at IPV 2012

HMTM-Hannover-Trombone-Class are this years 2012 winners of the International Trombone Associations Emory Remington Trombone Choir competition.
Saariaho Festival - The Hague October 2011
Chris Day has just returned from playing trombone with the NEW EUROPEAN ENSEMBLE at the Saariaho festival in the Netherlands. This festival included performances of a lot of the larger chamber works by the celebrated Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho, who was also in attendance.

Java Shrine rock out once again in Mainz
